Scripture references: 2 Timothy 1:7
In business, a J-Curve is a temporary dip followed by a powerful rebound and a period of sustained growth. Spiritually, we can find ourselves in a J-Curve, and it can feel unexpected, uncomfortable, and disorienting. The key word is temporary, but when we’re in the belly of the curve, it rarely feels that way. We just want out.
Most people freeze or resist the curve. But the best way through it is to lean into it—like a skilled motorcyclist navigating a sharp turn.
Three things happen when you lean in:
- You grasp “how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (Ephesians 3:18).
- You realize the dip is grooming you for greater.
- You rise—because every J-Curve ends in elevation.
So if you’re in a curve right now, don’t panic or pull back—lean in.
As you think about that, remember these words: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
